Automate GMB Club with n8n
Who it's for: you want certain GMB Club actions to happen on their own, at the right moment, without having to open the dashboard. Publish your posts every Monday, send a review request after every appointment, reply to new reviews as soon as they come in. No coding needed.
What n8n is, in a nutshell
n8n is a tool that connects your apps to each other so they work together. You describe a simple scenario, something like "when this happens, do that," and it runs on its own, 24/7.
In our case:
- GMB Club provides the actions: reply to a review, publish a post, create an article, launch a local ranking scan, send a review request.
- n8n provides the trigger (the time, a form being filled out, an order…) and the link with your other tools (calendar, CRM, Google Sheets, email inbox, and more than 400 apps).
You don't write a single line of code: you assemble blocks, visually, like building blocks.
What you can automate
All the actions you already do by hand in GMB Club, but triggered automatically:
- Publish your posts to your social networks, ahead of time or on a schedule.
- Reply to new reviews, with your safeguards (negative reviews are kept as draft until you approve them).
- Create and publish a blog article optimized for local SEO.
- Launch a local ranking scan and get the result by email.
- Send a review request by SMS or email to a customer.
- Pull your stats to send them wherever you want (a spreadsheet, a report, your inbox).
Three concrete examples
1. The week's posts, every Monday morning. Trigger: "every Monday at 9 a.m." Action: GMB Club publishes the week's posts to your social networks. You never think about it again.
2. A review request after every appointment. Trigger: a customer marked "appointment completed" in your calendar or your CRM. Action: GMB Club automatically sends a review request by SMS. The more you ask, the more you collect.
3. A recap as soon as a new review comes in. Trigger: a new review on your Google Business Profile. Action: GMB Club prepares a reply (kept as draft if the review is negative) and sends you a notification. You approve it at a glance.
How to connect GMB Club to n8n
Four steps, just once:
- Add GMB Club in n8n. In n8n, search for "GMB Club" in the list of available tools and add it.
- Connect your account. Allow n8n to act on your GMB Club account. The connection is secure and done in one click, without sharing your password.
- Build your scenario. Choose a trigger (a time, a form, another app), then add the GMB Club action of your choice. Drag, connect, and you're set.
- Turn it on. Your scenario runs on its own. You follow each run from n8n, and the result in your GMB Club dashboard.
You stay in control. Every action goes through your GMB Club account and its safeguards. Replies to sensitive reviews are kept as draft until you approve them: nothing is published behind your back.
Best practices
- Start simple. One useful scenario (the Monday posts, for example) beats ten complicated ones. You'll add more later.
- Test before you turn it on. n8n lets you run a scenario as a dry run to check that it does exactly what you expect.
- Leave negative reviews on manual approval. That's the default setting, keep it: a reply to an unhappy review always deserves your review.
How much it costs
The integration is included in every GMB Club account, at no extra cost, from the free plan. On your side, you only need an n8n account (n8n offers a free version you host yourself and an online version).
What about Make.com?
The Make integration is coming soon. It will work the same way: the same GMB Club actions, triggered by Make instead of n8n. We'll let you know as soon as it's available.
